On their first date, Brandon and Veronica felt a connection from talking about common interests, but their connection really sparked on their second date when they hiked together and shared more personal information about themselves. When Brandon kissed Veronica at the end of their second date, they both knew this was the start of something special.
After two and a half years, which included many dates, lots of ice cream cones, a trip to Mexico City, and Veronica moving in with Brandon, they scheduled a trip to Paris. Veronica had dreamed of going to Paris since she was a girl. She had even taken French classes so she could communicate when she got there one day. In Paris, there is an artistic work called “The Wall of Love.” It displays the phrase “I love you” in 250 languages. Veronica grew up in Mexico City speaking Spanish. Brandon grew up in Minnesota speaking English. Brandon selected The Wall of Love to ask Veronica to marry him because it reflected that first question that brought them together. They found the love of their lives despite their differences in native language and culture so it was perfect to ask Veronica to marry him at a place that celebrates the power and diversity of love in the world. Veronica said yes (obviously!). So that’s where we’re at. We look forward to you joining us on September 12, 2026 for our wedding at the Minneapolis Event Center.
